This is showing a shift in Brenan's expiriences. Ar the start she's hyper rationnal. Booth& Brenan are showing character growth,sorry.

While I agree with you about the supernatural stuff, I should remind you that it HAS been there on and off since the beginning of the series. All the way back in season one, Angela had a vision of her dead boyfriend's sister wandering the desert which led Booth to find her unconscious. In season two there was that Blair Witch-esque episode that ended on Hodgins and Angela watching the tape that belonged to the victim and they couldn't tell whether or not the ghost on the tape was real. In season four the apparent ghost of Teddy Parker helped Booth escape from the Gravedigger's ship and then interacted with Bones at the end of the episode. In season five and this season there was that psychic played by Cyndi Lauper (Avalon Harmonia?) who was ambiguously portrayed as possibly psychic for real in her first episode and then earlier this season was basically confirmed to be psychic in the episode with the ghost kid. It's been there on and off from the start, just in small doses.

this is 1 of my favourite episodes, I understand that you don't really like the supernatural aspects but as I mentioned before in a previous reaction video, sometimes they do add supernatural aspects in the episodes to balance out the scientific aspects. It's a reflection of the drastically different personalities of Brennan and Booth, she's all about the science and logic, while he is very religious and is more open to the supernatural

This might be one of my favorite episodes from this season. Yeah there are supernatural components in this episode but they are open for interpretation, Booth from beginning believe in that stuff and that was one of the things Brennan and him bicker about it from beginning , and Brennan maybe using this "dream" because she is slowly changing and she is bad with change ,everything her mother told her in her dream can be just her subconscious, she could know about Max and the gift from the childhood, also everything her mom told her could be something she is aware of but unable to accept and she might use this experience to get to the point of accepting that. I understand your reasoning for not liking this cliche and normally I agree wholeheartedly with your logic, but this type of episode was crucial for Brennan's character growth. And while Bones is a crime drama about a forensic anthropologist, the core of the characters has always been heart vs mind/intuition vs intelligence. As Sweets has always said, Brennan is a woman who uses science as way to explain what she is often too emotionally vulnerable to express. The best way for her to get closure from family trauma and trust in her intuition is to experience something that she can't immediately explain away with science. Also, I saw first hand when my father was dying that he called out for long gone family members in his final hours. There is a belief that mothers come to bring their children to the afterlife, however we may define what that means. Some believe its a truly spiritual experience, and others explain it as chemical reactions in the brain. Others say it is our subconscious comforting us at the end. Whatever it is, this episode covers all those explanations but doesn't give a definitive answer. The only thing we know for sure is that Brennan feels a sense of peace that she didn't have before now.

I have to agree that it would be nice to have a little bit more connection to the previous seasons in this season so that like you said people who watched the show from the beginning could get closure. My impression of this season was that it was sort of a reboot that was trying to both close off the original series and maybe try to start something new with new characters.

Tiana is from The Princess and the Frog... And, also, I have seen prosthetic hands where the fingers move...Just believe that under the glove is prosthetic hand you it wont bother you so much....lmao.... And this was the one episode of this season, that I didnt like very well either....some episodes are boring , some arent...Pls dont lose interest, it does get better....

Snow, Charming, Emma and Belle all chose not to renew their contracts for the 7th. But they did agree to come back for one episode...At least Emma did and she was in edisode 2...It's mostly new characters this season. .And they are really good characters...People just have to give them a chance...Think back to season one , when you didn't know anyone. .You got to know them and you got to like them all...Hopefully the same will happen here too...

She only kept asking because she was worried. That's a real friend. Bones and booth are not the type to ask for help or moral support, even when they really need it. So just keep that in mind. Those are the type of ppl who notice when something is wrong, even when they have no physical proof and on this show that could be the difference between life or death sometimes.

They don't go too deep in the spiritual. But that is real life. Ppl do see spirits and have encounters with God or his angels when they are near death. It means more because she doesn't believe in that. With her character development it just helps her to understand things that she thought wasn't real.

I always figured Bones knew about the stolen gift in the back of her mind - they probably talked about it at some point during her childhood and she could tell he had stolen it, or he had talked about it when he thought she was too young to remember. The conversation at the beginning about what children remember gave me that notion a little (study of brain development in early life is part of my job irl) People know more than what they consciously remember most of the time but it unlocks under hypnosis or through trauma - I think that explains a good number of times people claim to know things they shouldn't, the rest is people whose skills are like The Mentalist at reading clues. Booth has always believed in afterlife though and tries to convince her it's possible, so it makes sense that Brennan would question it and wonder if it's real or a construct of the mind.

They're not writing out the Cinderella in Storybrooke. Henry said before he left that other countries/cultures have their own versions of popular fairytales. These other versions have their own worlds. Hell, OUAT already kinda hinted at this back with Elsa and Ingrid. Elsa was The Mouse's take on the story The Snow Queen, who is Ingrid (her story with the mirror more closely follows The Snow Queen story than Elsa) Yet, both exist in OUAT~

Season 7 is great, the season isn’t so creative or enjoyable like the first seasons, but I like it! I hope u like too

Gotta remember Booth from the very beginning has said he believes in all that stuff. God, afterlife, ghosts and stuff like that. While that’s never been the focus of the show they are simply saying, maybe there’s more to the universe than we can explain. They only sprinkle it around every so often because it’s mainly all hard science and easy to explain.

There’s no denying this season is divisive among fans, but season 7 is personally really great and enjoyable!!

They should of ended this series after season 6

I don't mind the supernatural aspect in this episode, because it has been done on so many shows before Bones. By that I mean a character almost dying, them seeing their loved ones, and them coming back because it wasn't his/her time. I don't know if this makes sense but I've seen it before on other shows. And I do like the aspect of getting to see the loved ones we lost again. It would be amazing if that actually happened irl.

I don't like it either. The show is about science and scientists. I don't mind when they do it if it gets a logical explanation later. I think it was so well done in the first seasons.

Coming from a point of passion, but could we request watching one episode of private practice in s5 that arguably feels crucial to understanding greys s11. Not necessarily an entanglement like arrowverse is but far more necessary than any of the crossovers with Addison.

Season seven was honestly one of my favorites mostly because it was different but still the same in a very different way😂 it’s a lot more interesting. Once you start unraveling all the new threads. Cinderella stepmom is probably my favorite character ironically and then some of the other characters you’ll meet. As for the Cinderella thing, I’m pretty sure there is a big big point to it and you’ve only met her stepmother and stepsister so far so you haven’t met enough characters in Cinderella story for you too. Have a good reason or come up with a good reason, not to like this idea. Remember the writers of Once Upon a Time are really good at entangling the stories and characters, there will be more interesting things to come

i get what you are saying about private practice. i don't think its important for cross overs. i think where the issue will be is that they spend several seasons developing a character and backstory and then put them in greys anatomy and if you didn't watch it you miss the first few seasons of that character. it really changes how they come across (obviously no names for spoiler reasons). otherwise I agree its its own thing. the whole owen and Christina and teddy thing is so awkward. I'm glad that alex didn't just take izzy back. i don't think they could be who they were anymore. its too bad, but time for a fresh start.

Sense8 is one of my favorite all time series. Just incredible, I was crushed when they cancelled it.

I'm pretty sure hooks hand is supposed to be a working prosthetic. since his hand was cut off at the wrist he would be able to wear a prosthetic that moves based on muscle movements in your arm
